Welcome Taryn to Happie Soul Wellness. During your appointment, Taryn will evaluate your needs and goals of treatment and create a unique healing treatment just for you!

Taryn Slothour is a Licensed Massage Therapist and graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage, with a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques aimed at improving physical function and overall wellbeing. Her clinical approach focuses on identifying muscular imbalances, addressing chronic pain, and enhancing mobility through evidence-based bodywork.

Taryn specializes in pin and stretch techniques, cupping therapy, and sports stretching, which she integrates into customized treatment plans for each client. Her work supports those dealing with repetitive strain injuries, postural issues, and musculoskeletal dysfunctions.

Originally pursuing a career in nursing, Taryn transitioned to massage therapy to provide hands-on, preventative care that fosters long-term health. Her goal is to deliver measurable results while supporting clients in achieving a balanced and pain-free lifestyle.

Sports Therapy Massage/Stretching

The Jaw Dropper (Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT/TMJ))

MyoKinesthetic technique is a muscle movement therapy developed by Dr. Michael Uriarte that focuses on correcting posture imbalances and balancing the nervous system to relieve pain and restore function. Therapeutic massage has been used for centuries to improve overall health, reduce stress, and relieve muscle tension. Swedish Massage is the recommended massage method during pregnancy because it addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts.

Prenatal Massage

Postpartum massage can be as important and beneficial as massage during pregnancy. Postpartum bodywork is an effective and holistic approach for the many adjustments to motherhood. You may be surprised to receive much more than a spa retreat.

May I Bring Baby to My Appointment?
Many mothers want to leave their baby in good hands and take a break. However, some moms prefer to bring their newborns with them. At Happie Soul Wellness, we welcome your new little to join you for your first 3-5 appointments (depending on how far apart the treatments are).  Newborns usually sleep a lot and your experienced therapist will adjust the routine to the baby if needed (breastfeeding, etc.). Extra time may be necessary if bringing the little one, so get approval in advance.

The Mama Melt - Postpartum Massage Therapy

Let me ease the pain in your back and feet! This package is specific to main areas of pain, tension, and stress. Aromatherapy and hot towels can be used in this package. Treatment includes Deep Tissue and Sole (reflexology).

It is not unusual for professional athletes to think of receiving massage therapy to increase and improve their performance, but what about children? Pediatric massage therapy can provide a gentle therapeutic approach to addressing many of the same athletic concerns, while at the same time introducing growing children to a preventative method to relieve aches and pains as they exercise.

Children's bodies are constantly growing and changing. Their muscles, soft tissues and bones are not as developed when compared to those of an adult. To provide a touch therapy session, a practitioner would often provide treatment that would utilize less pressure, slower pacing and an overall shorter session duration. To effectively treat the child's soft tissues, a therapist does not need to use a heavy handed approach to stimulate the affect of massage.

With pediatric massage, a therapist can help the serious or casual child athlete reach their full potential. Through the use of professional pediatric massage we may comfort pains, decrease potential injury, increase agility and aid in a more restful sleep,  while at the same helping them to focus and concentrate more fully.

Many athletes receive massage therapy treatments pre- and post-athletic workout and competition. Athletes often incorporate sports massage into their therapy and training programs. Some of the reasons, athletes find massage therapy a valuable addition to their healthcare plan include;
